In a post on his official social media account on Sunday, President Raeisi said the United States, by vetoing the Gaza ceasefire resolution, once again demonstrated its role as “the main supporter of the massacre of innocent women and children in Gaza.”
Despite global demands to halt the war crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza, the US proved that it is the root cause of the Israeli regime’s atrocities and the fuel powering its war machine.
On Friday, the US vetoed the UAE-proposed resolution for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, drawing global condemnation.
More than 17,700 Palestinians have been killed in over two months of Israeli aggression against Gaza, around two-thirds of them women and children.
